Empowering Educational Excellence for All

Main Street Academix (MSA) was founded in 2002 by Dr. William Preble, a distinguished k-12 teacher, school principal, college professor, educational researcher, college dean, and author.

We help our partner schools and organizations use targeted and innovative research strategies to uncover complex stories, perceptions, behavioral and academic profiles that shape the diverse human experiences within their walls. These varied data sources reveal important barriers, as well as gateways to success, that help guide effective leadership and action to achieve brighter, more successful futures for everyone.

This work has been the hallmark of MSA and its hundreds of school and organizational partners for nearly 30 years.

Our mission is to bring educational research out of the “ivory tower” and into the “public square” .

Who are we?

We are a team of caring, creative educational researchers, facilitators, statisticians, and administrators who support our partner schools and organizations.

We specialize in research on youth and adult leadership, school culture and climate improvement, program evaluation, and the growing number of critical issues that affect our schools and youth including issues of educational equity and racial justice, student mental health needs, social and emotional barriers to academic success, belonging, adult culture, school climate, teacher morale, and effective pedagogical practices.

Our clients include hundreds of schools across the U.S., educational publishers, curriculum and program developers, civil rights groups, and state departments of education. We look forward to helping to support your school or organization.
